Senior Full-Stack AI Engineer

Engineering · Full-time · Remote (Canada / North America)

$120K–$155K CAD + Equity

Build the AI-powered features that help pet parents manage their pet’s health. You’ll work across our React/TypeScript frontend and Supabase backend, integrating OpenAI APIs for document scanning, health insights, and our AI Health Assistant.

What you'll do

• Design and build AI-powered features (OCR document scanning, health assistant chat, predictive health alerts)
• Develop and maintain React/TypeScript frontend with Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui
• Build and optimize Supabase Edge Functions and database queries
• Implement Stripe billing integrations and subscription management
• Write clean, tested, production-ready code
• Collaborate directly with the founder on product direction

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js
• Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar)
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Supabase (or similar BaaS)
• Understanding of SaaS billing patterns (Stripe preferred)
• Comfortable working autonomously in a remote startup environment

Nice to have

• Experience with Deno or edge function runtimes
• Background in health tech or pet tech
• Experience with computer vision or OCR
• Familiarity with PIPEDA or healthcare data privacy
