How this tool works

Why track pet spending
Routine care is predictable; emergencies are not. A year of real entries is the only honest way to size an emergency fund or decide whether insurance is worth it for your pet. Published national averages (see our vet cost guides) tell you whether a bill was typical; your own log tells you what your pet actually costs.
